A scarce Abyssinia travel narrative by Henry Blanc, who gives his first hand accounts of Ethiopia including its scenery, people and late Emperor Téwodros II (Theodore). The author was taken captive in Ethiopia for a time, and the shackles stamped to the front board of the book are an illustration of those used on him.
