Tissue guarded frontispiece of ‘The Captives’ and 7 other full page engravings. Gilt titles and decoration to spine, gilt design of an Abyssinian warrior to the upper board. Moderate wear to edges, spine ends and corners. Front and rear hinge binding neatly repaired. Binding tight. Ex-library withdrawn (New College, Edinburgh) with minimal marking. Contents slightly browned with just occasional foxing and some finger marks. A good, tight copy.
